Atlanta moved to the top of the Serie A ranking table temporarily by defeating Bologna 1-0 on Tuesday in the 35th round that saw Milan win 2-1 at Sassuolo.

At the Mabe Stadium, Milan continued their amazing career in the domestic league and clinched a victory at Sassuolo Stadium with two goals in the first half.

Veteran Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic took the lead by scoring two winning goals for Milan, thus ending his page of differences with coach Stefano Bioli, which arose as a result of his objection to replacing him with the previous match.

Ibrahimovic headed for Milan in the 19th minute with a header, taking advantage of Hakan Chanlu's pass.

And 3 minutes before the end of the first half, the referee awarded a penalty to Sassuolo because of a handball against Chanoglu, where the referee used the technique of "Var" before taking into account the violation translated by Francesco Caputo for the home team's equalizer.

But in stoppage time for the first half, Ibrahimovic scored his second goal for Milan with a new decisive pass from Chanoglu.

Milan raised its score to 59 points in fifth place, and Sassuolo's balance stopped at 48 points in eighth place.

Since the Italian League resumed last month, Milan have scored 7 victories, two draws, without any defeat.

In the other game, Atlanta raised its score in Italian Serie A to 95 goals, the most in one season in more than 60 years, after beating 1-0 at home to Bologna in a match that saw an angry row between the coaches.

Substitute Luis Morrell, who participated at the start of the second half, scored the game's only goal in the 62nd minute, extending the Atlanta series of no-league loss to 15 games and raising his team's balance to 74 points 3 games before the end.

However, the team are still 6 points behind leaders Juventus, who appear to be on the way to winning the title, while Inter, who host Fiorentina on Wednesday, are third with 72 points.

Fiorentina was the last team to score 95 goals in the 1958-1959 season, while Atlanta is still far below the Turin record of 1947-1948 of 125 goals.

The atmosphere became tense in the first half when Atlanta referee coach Gian Piero Gasperini complained about a Bologna player and addressed him with a foul word from his opposite side, Sinisa Mihajlovic.

With no fans in the stands, the infamous Mihailovich picked up the word and conveyed it to viewers around the world, for the referee to publicize the yellow card for coaches before Gasperini was sent off for further objections to the referees.
