He certainly thought he was doing well, and hiding the trace of his passage. But his gesture quickly overtook him. Sunday, in Chiché, in Deux-Sèvres, a man has a very urgent desire and decides to relieve himself in a neighboring field.

Before leaving, he decides to set fire to the little piece of paper covering his excrement. But now, given the current drought, the flames quickly set the surrounding growing crops ablaze without the thirty-something being able to stop them, reports France Bleu Poitou.

In the end, eight hectares went up in smoke and more than fifty firefighters had to intervene to control the fire before it reached the whole of the plot. The man behind this unusual fire outbreak escaped with minor burns to his hands.
