The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai has announced the opening of the first official Chinese school outside China in Dubai, with the start of the new school year in September, with a capacity of about 2000 school seats with the completion of operation, and is considered a private non-profit school.
The school located in Mirdif will implement the educational curriculum in Hangzhou, China, with its various subjects, and includes the official Chinese (Mandarin), science, mathematics, technology, engineering, moral education, sports, arts, etc., and the Arabic language will be taught to students (a second language), in addition to social studies , And Islamic, in accordance with the standards approved by the Ministry of Education in the country.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors visited the Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dr. Abdullah Al-Karam, and the Chinese Consul General in Dubai, Li Xiuhang, the headquarters of the new school, to stand ready for the official opening at the beginning of the academic year 2020-2021.
Al-Karam considered that the opening of the first official Chinese school outside China in Dubai is a step that reflects the depth and strength of friendship and cooperation ties between the People's Republic of China and the UAE, indicating that the opening of the Chinese school in Dubai will constitute a qualitative addition to the private education system in Dubai, through the exchange of educational experiences Learning with other schools in the emirate, and the school will provide new options and opportunities for high-quality education for the Chinese community in the UAE.
In turn, Li Xiuhang said, the establishment of the first Chinese public school in Dubai is a joint venture between China and the UAE that is mutually beneficial and aims to enhance bilateral relations and cultural exchange.
He added, "Not only does it meet the growing demand of society in Dubai with all its great diversity, but it will also attract talent from China and other regions in order to study, work and live in Dubai."
It is worth noting that the opening of the Chinese School in Dubai will provide more educational options for the Chinese community in the UAE, which is estimated to number more than 200,000 people, and will increase the total number of new private schools scheduled to open during the new academic year to five private schools, and the number of educational curricula Applied in private schools in Dubai to 18 diversified educational curricula.

He added that with the start of operation in September, the Chinese school will receive Chinese students until the fifth grade, where the number of registered students since the registration was opened to more than 200 students, while the school attracts 37 teachers from Hangzhou and Dubai.
