Twitter deactivated a campaign video retweeted by US President Donald Trump after a formal notice from the group Linkin Park, which disputed the unauthorized use of its music.
The video, which featured a cover of the group's hit "In the End", was published by White House social media chief Dan Scavino and retweeted on Saturday by Trump.
Instead of the video, we can now read the following message: "this media has been deactivated following a report by the copyright holder".
The American rock group said it did not allow Mr. Trump or his campaign team to use his music.
"Linkin Park did not and does not support Trump, nor does he allow his organization to use our music. A letter of formal notice has been sent," the group tweeted.
Before Linkin Park, the Rolling Stones had threatened Donald Trump to prosecute him if he continued to use one of their songs, "You Can't Always Get What You Want", during campaign events.
Several other artists have opposed the use of their music by Donald Trump. The rock group Queen had thus protested against the use of one of the best known songs of the rock repertoire - "We Are the Champions" - during an appearance on stage of Mr. Trump at the republican convention in 2016 .
