Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that the Turkish Minister of Defense, Khulusi Akar, received the Qatari Minister of Defense Affairs Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah, and during the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, regional affairs, and joint work in the fields of defense and security.

The Turkish minister pointed out during the meeting that took place today, Monday, at the headquarters of the Turkish Ministry of Defense in Ankara, that the strategic partnership with Qatar continues, saying that the two countries have bilateral relations at high levels.

Akar expressed Ankara's gratitude for the great support of the legitimate government in Libya in order to provide a stable environment in the region.

The Turkish minister considered that this visit is a continuation of his visit to Qatar, and that it is an appropriate opportunity to discuss in detail about developments.

It is noteworthy that the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received on Sunday in Doha Turkish Minister of Defense Khulusi Akar, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had paid a working visit to Qatar on the second of this month.
