According to the Russian Ministry, First Deputy Minister Alexander Neradko and Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev raised issues of cooperation between the two countries in the “field of airworthiness”.

“In addition, they talked about the possibility of increasing the number of flights between the two countries and creating a Russian-Uzbek low-cost carrier to transport passengers and goods,” the Ministry of Transport added.

Earlier, vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin in an interview with Nation News commented on the plan for the phased resumption of international flights in Russia.
