The man is also convicted of extremely serious assault, kidnapping and assault in court. He was convicted as recently as June 2018 for aggravated sexual abuse of children.
The 39-year-old must also pay just over SEK 240,000 in damages. However, he is acquitted of robbery.
According to the verdict, the convict dragged the girl into a bush or hedge. There he hit her and held a knife to her neck. He then dragged her to a forest grove where he either undressed her or made her undress under the threat of a knife. He also tied her hands and smeared her with clay. In addition to this, he took a stranglehold around her neck.
Then the 39-year-old raped the 9-year-old girl. He also threatened to kill her and her family if she revealed what had happened.
