These are four different reports that have or could have caused a serious medical injury:

  • A woman in a special accommodation falls twice in the course of a few months and incurs fractures on both occasions. The first time she gets a hip fracture, the second time loose fragments in the pelvis.
  • A man in a special accommodation falls out of bed and the floor alarm triggers. The staff finds the man in a pool of blood when he had received a deep jack in the forehead.
  • A woman was found on the floor in the kitchen of a special accommodation. She had fallen when she tried to leave the kitchen table. She had a lot of back pain after the fall but had to wait an hour for pain relief.
  • A person in a dementia home fell and hit his head in the dishwasher. The person received a deep jack in the head and suffered a concussion.

All incidents occurred in 2020 and were reported by the Social Affairs Committee on 10 July.
