Brazil's new Minister of Education is infected with COVID-19

Brazil’s new Minister of Education Milton Ribeiro, who had just been sworn in last Thursday (16th), announced on social media on the afternoon of the 20th local time that he tested positive for the new crown virus earlier in the day. Ribeiro is the second Brazilian minister to announce that he has contracted new coronary pneumonia in one day. Earlier in the day, Brazilian Minister of Civil and Social Action Onix Lorenzoni stated that he had contracted COVID-19.

Two weeks ago, Brazilian President Bolsonaro has been working in isolation at the presidential residence after he was diagnosed with COVID-19. On the 16th Bolsonaro participated in Ribeiro's oath of office via video. However, dozens of people including 14 ministers from various government ministries and other officials attended Ribeiro's swearing-in ceremony. (Headquarters reporter Tang Ye)
