On July 19th local time, the Assam State Disaster Administration of India issued a statement saying that as of now, the death toll caused by floods and landslides in Assam has risen to 110 this year, and a total of 5.4 million people have been affected. At present, 2,400 villages in Assam are flooded and over 240,000 hectares of farmland have been destroyed. The Indian National Meteorological Administration said that this round of heavy rainfall will continue until the 21st, and the disaster in Assam may be more serious.
