South Korea's first dedicated communications satellite,'Anasis 2', was launched at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida, USA.

SpaceX, a private space exploration company in the United States, announced that Anastasis 2 was loaded into the Falcon 9 rocket and headed to space on the 20th (local time) at 5:30 PM (Eastern time and 21:30 on the Korean time). .

As the South Korean military launched Anasis 2, it had the first military-only satellite with improved information processing speed, anti-jamming capability, and communication range.

After being settled on a geostationary orbit (approximately 36,000 km), Anasis 2 will begin its full-scale mission.

A military official said, "The first military-only satellites are also related to securing the core power for the transition of the war-start control control (OPR)." The ROK military's ability to perform solo operations is expected to improve."

The ROK military has been operating a military communication system using the'Mugunghwa No. 5', which is a civilian-powered satellite, but was not vulnerable to military use, but was forced to be vulnerable to enemy'jamming' (radio disturbance) attacks.

However, the military supplemented the shortcomings of the communication system all at once by securing the dedicated communication satellite, Anasys No. 2.

The ANACIS 2 is provided as a compromise trade with the Lockheed Martin company by introducing the F-35A stealth fighter aircraft (technical transfer or counter-payment due to the sale of weapons), and manufactured by Airbus based on the'Eurostar E3000' satellite did.

SpaceX, which launched Anasys No. 2, was founded by Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk, and on May 30, it was the first private company to successfully launch a manned spacecraft, the Crew Dragon.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket used in the launch, B1058, was used to carry the'Crew Dragon' to the International Space Station (ISS), which has been recovered from the Atlantic and has been prepared for reuse.

SpaceX launched 12 rockets this year, but this is the first time it has launched a custom satellite.

In the previous 11 launches, SpaceX launched its own StarLink communications satellites and satellites dedicated to the U.S. Army, and carried NASA's astronauts to the ISS.
