That day, the brigade organized professional scout competitions. The sudden changes caught the scouts by surprise, and everyone hurriedly set up equipment. At this time, Shen Chuandong Lingji took out the simple "overviewer" he made earlier and installed it on the observation instrument to quickly capture the measured data of the explosion point.
"The coordinates are correct and it takes the least time!" Just as the assessment team was about to declare Shen Chuandong to win the championship, some soldiers raised an objection on the spot: use self-made equipment to participate in the assessment, the results should be cancelled!
It stands to reason that "opportunity" should not be used in the competition assessment, but the brigade party committee did not make a hasty conclusion, but quickly set up an expert group to analyze and research Shen Chuandong's self-made "oversight". After inspection, they were surprised to find that the self-made "overviewer" is not only easy to manufacture and easy to carry, but also perfectly cooperates with the observation instrument, which shortens the observation time by half.
Shen Chuandong also told the expert group the whole story in one hundred and fifty: As a military fan, he usually likes to study weapons and equipment. Once, he found that the textbook had an introduction to the "scope", saying that this device can effectively improve the target capture speed. So, according to the instructions, he repeatedly tried to tinker with a simple "overviewer". In the ensuing competition of the whole camp artillery squad, he used the self-made "overviewer" to achieve the first place.
In the end, after soliciting opinions from the expert group, the Party Committee of Brigade unanimously determined that Shen Chuandong's results were valid. Taking advantage of the heat, the brigade quickly set off a mass equipment technology innovation activity, set up special innovation funds, encouraged officers and men to base on existing equipment and conditions, explore new training methods, and develop new equipment. At the same time, an expert group was organized to test small innovations and small inventions, and screened out achievements with actual combat value for promotion.
Encouraged by this, Shen Chuandong's enthusiasm for tinkering with weapons increased.
