Social media activists shared footage of the fire in Portland, Oregon, in the early hours of the morning.

Activists picked up videos of the fire in the Portland city police station, and the violent attack on the demonstrators after the accident, as the police fired heavy gas canisters, causing many injuries and suffocation among the demonstrators.

The police also used batons and sticks to suppress the protesters, and arrested dozens of them.

Later, the police announced in their official Twitter account that they put out the fire.

This incident comes in light of the continuing demonstrations in Portland, which broke out more than a month after the killing of George Floyd, an African American, at the hands of the police in late May, and to demand that the city's police be dissolved as a result of his repeated attacks on demonstrators, they say.
