Saudi bloggers mourned journalist Saleh Al-Shehhi, following his death, as a result of coronavirus, which he contracted in the middle of last month, and two months after his release from prison.

Al-Shehhi was arrested by the Saudi authorities in 2018, after appearing on the "Yahala" program via the "Gulf Rotana" channel, in which he talked about corruption within the royal debt, but his health deteriorated after he was released last May.

Hearts filled with grief and sorrow and faith in God and of the death of my brother and announce to my friend and # Saleh_alchiha who passed away shortly before I
ask God has mercy and forgiveness
and solace to us and to his family and loved ones
I am God and to Him we shall return

Al-Shehhi became famous for defending citizens and demanding improvement in their conditions and attacking corruption, as some of them described him with the voice of the poor.

He held the account of "prisoners of conscience" the Saudi authorities fully responsible for his death, as he entered intensive care since his release last May, and he remained in the hospital until he died, adding that the authorities released him in order to evade responsibility for his health and psychological abuse during the arrest.
