“They eat more fish, eat more seafood, less fatty varieties. What are we eating with you? Pork, sausages, sausages, sausages are all high-fat products, ”he explained.
Regarding the high prevalence of obesity in the Altai Territory, this, according to Tutelyan, is due to the fact that residents of this region eat more foods high in fat and have little exercise.
“You must understand that obesity is related to nutrition, it is the same problem everywhere. This is the correspondence of the energy value of the diet, calories, to our energy expenditures. Therefore, malnutrition, primarily excess calorie diet, is the main reason and main challenge of the 21st century for all developed countries - including for us, ”the nutritionist believes.
