July 19, 2020 No new extension of tax payments. With the refusal of the MEF to the hypothesis of a further postponement to September of the payments of the advances and of the tax balances on income in self-assessment, already postponed due to the pandemic, from tomorrow it will be necessary to proceed with the payment of various obligations.

A real marathon that will involve 4.5 million taxpayers. Specifically, 142 deadlines are set for tomorrow until 31 July.

Why the MEF blocked the postponement
The further requested extension would affect, according to the MEF offices, the elaboration of the forecasts of the self-liquidated taxes of the update note to the Def which, as is known, must be presented to Parliament by the end of September. This was explained by the Undersecretary for Economics, Alessio Villarosa. The Government had already postponed the ordinary maturities of 30 June and 30 July with an increase of 0.4%, respectively to 20 July and 20 August, but a further postponement in September would have blocked a cash flow of over 8 billion, according to forecasts.

What you have to pay tomorrow 20 July
From tomorrow on to the fulfillment marathon. The most demanding day will be precisely Monday 20: 51 are the expected payments. They range from personal income tax (balance 2019 and advance payment 2020), to IRES (balance 2019 and advance payment 2020), to IRAP (balance 2019 and advance payment 2020) and the periodic VAT and the 2019 balance of the dry coupon and the advance payment 2020. The payment of the annual fee to the Chamber of Commerce, the stamp duty on electronic invoices issued in the second quarter of 2020, is also underway. And then payment of taxes and social security and welfare contributions on the basis of the tax return for VAT holders and company partners.

The next deadlines
But it's not over. Another 65 payments are expected by 30 July. On July 27, the Intrast lists for the second quarter of 2020 and the monthly lists for June 2020 will have to be sent. The deadline for paying the taxes due on the basis of the tax return other than the VAT holders with an increase of 0 is set for July 30. 4%. Finally, on 31 other 26 payments, it ranges from the presentation of the model for quarterly VAT refunds and that for foreign transactions in the second quarter of 2020 to the payment of the Rai fee for those who cannot receive it with the bill.

Meloni: "Yes to the postponement of the deadlines"
The controversy over the government's decision not to extend the tax deadlines does not go away. The accountants have announced a possible strike if no concrete answers come from the executive. Hard line also by representatives of small and medium enterprises. And tensions are growing even among political forces. "The accountants are right to sell and Fratelli d'Italia supports their protest. The government's refusal to postpone the tax deadline of 20 July is a blow for millions of workers and VAT numbers who are facing the most difficult economic crisis from the post-war period to today and that simply do not have the liquidity to cope with the tax payment claimed by the Government ". The president of Fratelli d'Italia, Giorgia Meloni writes it on Facebook.

"Even in recent days in the Chamber - Meloni recalls - we asked for an extension, but the majority of Pd-M5S rejected our request by choosing to crush the Italians with taxes and bureaucracy. We help these gentlemen to change jobs: let's send them home and give all Italy a government capable of defending the interests of Italians ".

Salvini: "Ready to support VAT number protests, accountants and self-employed"
"We are ready to support the tax protest of VAT numbers, self-employed and accountants with our lawyers and experts: it is madness to force millions of citizens to pay taxes from tomorrow threatening fines and sanctions. "Lega leader Matteo Salvini says it.

Gelmini:" Okay for postponement "
" Accountants do well to call the government to their responsibilities. Tax deadlines must be absolutely extended. "Mariastella Gelmini, leader of Forza Italia in the Chamber of Deputies, says in a statement." It is absurd to ask citizens, businesses, VAT numbers, traders, artisans, to do an obstacle course - perhaps making debts, with the usurers and the underworld ready to take by the throat those who are most in difficulty - to
pay everything immediately to a state that in recent months has intervened to support them late and badly. Palazzo Chigi has a leap of realism and will work in the next few hours to postpone all payments to the next year ", he asks.

Tensions also in the majority
IV publicly, the dems on the track, ask to use the Mes as soon as possible." Of course being able to count of the Salva-Stati fund we could perhaps have extended the tax deadlines beyond 20 July ", explains a member of the executive of the executive. Davide Faraone, leader of the Italia dei Valori in the Senate speaks of" madness "in not wanting to move the deadlines and attacks: "The government is wrong."
