The number of flights carried out by national carriers to deliver Emirati aid to the countries of the world reached 109 flights, to provide medical assistance that supported the first defense lines while facing the emerging Corona virus.
The report stated that the assistance provided by the UAE included vital medical supplies, including face masks, gloves and artificial respirators, test units and examination equipment, protection and prevention equipment, the setting up of field hospitals to treat people living with the virus, as well as food aid, and the evacuation of nationals of countries to return to their home countries .
The report sheds light on the meetings and consultations conducted by the UAE with various countries, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the light of the challenges facing the world, due to the spread of the "Covid-19" epidemic, and to enhance joint efforts in confronting the virus.
The UAE sent 22 tons of medical supplies to the occupied Palestinian territories to enhance its efforts to contain the epidemic, as the report emphasized that this initiative comes in line with the United Nations response plan to limit the spread of the epidemic in the occupied Palestinian territories, and is part of the UAE's long-term commitment to the Palestinian people, And to help contain the health, social and economic impacts of Coved-19, and this assistance is part of the UAE’s commitment to the continued support of the Palestinian people.
He pointed out that the UAE, which is one of the largest donors to UNRWA, contributed more than $ 828.2 million in the period from 2013 to April 2020, to finance various sectors in the occupied Palestinian territories.
