Germany, Italy, France ready to study sanctions for violation of the embargo in Libya

This is stated in a statement by the leaders of the three countries.

“We are ready to consider the issue of imposing sanctions in case of continued violations of the embargo at sea, on land or in the air,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

The document notes that the parties in this regard are awaiting proposals from the European Commission.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his colleague from the UAE, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, called for an end to the fighting in Libya.
