French world-renowned ballet dancer Rene Jean Merr died 96 years 18th July 10:09

Gigi Jean-Mer, who is known for playing the leading role of "Carmen" in the world-famous French ballet dancer, died on the 17th. I was 96 years old.

Jean-Mer, who is nicknamed "Gigi," and real name Rene Jean-Mer was born in Paris, France in 1924 and studied at the prestigious Ballet School of the Opera.

It became famous by playing the leading role in "Carmen" choreographed by her husband, French choreographer Laurent Petit.

Jean-Mer was also active as a singer and actor, having expanded into Hollywood, USA, and appeared in a musical film depicting the fairy tale writer Andersen.

In 1961, at the performance in Paris, she appeared in the costume with pink ostrich wings designed by Yves Saint Laurent and was in the spotlight.

According to the AFP news agency in France, Jean-Merle said his family had died at his home in Troshna in western Switzerland on the 17th.
