A fire broke out on Saturday morning inside the Nantes cathedral. The mayor of the city, Johanna Rolland, said at the microphone of Europe 1 that the damage was substantial but had remained localized. She nevertheless deplores the deterioration of many pieces, such as that of an organ from the 17th century.

After the fire of the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul cathedral in Nantes, which occurred on Saturday morning, the town mayor Johanna Rolland was the guest of Europe 1. Having been able to penetrate inside the building , it reported damage "localized but deep", "the cathedral is not destroyed!" On the other hand, she expressed her sadness after having noticed the deterioration of certain pieces: "It is a part of Nantes' heritage history that is flying away."
