In the clip, you hear Rickard Finndahl, group manager for the police's serious crime group, tell how they are doing with the murder investigation.
- I understand of course that the public is thinking about what is happening, says Rickard Finndahl when SVT's reporter meets him at the police station in Eksjö.
During the winter and spring, the police have asked the public for help, including identifying a knife that the police believe may be the murder weapon.
Rickard Finndahl says that the police are still interested in information about the knife and two bicycles that are linked to the suspected murder of Kjäll Gustafsson on December 14 last year. Kjäll was killed by masked perpetrators when he intervened when a riot broke out between the masked people and restaurant staff.
The police do not want to reveal where the knife was found, but they believe it could be the murder weapon. As for the bikes, one is a black women's bike from the Yosemite brand with a bike basket. The other is a green women's bike from the brand Sprick, which has a distinctive bell in the shape of a football.
- The bicycles were found after the incident along the escape route in central Gislaved, said Maria Blomkvist, head of investigation for serious crimes, on an earlier occasion when the police wanted to get tips from the public.
Since December, the police have carried out extensive investigative work. Hundreds of interrogations have been carried out and technical investigations and surveys have been carried out, including with the help of camera surveillance. But no suspect has yet been arrested.
