The single-seaters only rode in the rain during the 2nd free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday on the Hungaroring (4.381 km) in Budapest, 3rd round of the Formula 1 World Championship.

With 12 laps for the German Sebastian Vettel, author of an insignificant best time, and 10 for the Monaco driver Charles Leclerc, Ferrari is one of the teams to have swallowed the most kilometers.

Deprived like everyone of free practice 3 by the rain last Saturday in Austria and forced to a double abandonment in the race Sunday after a collision between its two drivers, the Scuderia needed to spend time on track to continue to assess the changes made to its cars over the past weekend.

With 16 laps for the Finnish Kimi Räikkönen, who had given up her seat to the test driver Robert Kubica in the morning, and 9 for the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, Alfa Romeo completed the most laps.

The most representative times therefore remain those of the first session, at the end of which the Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) beat his teammate Valtteri Bottas by 86 / 1000th - with the Finn on tires a notch more tender and therefore more fast on one lap - and more than 5/10 competition on even softer tires.

Free practice 3 is scheduled for 12 noon (10 a.m. GMT) on Saturday and qualifying for 3 p.m. (1 p.m. GMT). The weather forecast looks cool and cloudy again, with a chance of showers.
