The expo politician has been in custody since mid-May for the rape that is said to have taken place at his home.
According to the man himself, it was a mutual intercourse and he appealed the arrest to the Court of Appeal where he was refused.
When the prosecutor then brought charges against the man, it appeared that the former politician had bought sex on several occasions from the crime victim. The man admitted buying sex but denied the rape.
"It does not matter which sentence"The man has held several positions of trust within Halmstad municipality. In connection with his arrest, the party froze his assignment, but when he then admitted buying sex, he left all political assignments.
- At first we thought that we could not judge anyone before they have fallen, but he has already admitted that he bought sex so we do not have to wait for a verdict.
