The ALS-sick man was supposed to have gone to Switzerland to receive euthanasia, but was stopped by the corona pandemic.

Michael Lövtrup says in SVT's Morgonstudion that euthanasia is a difficult issue but that it is interesting that it should now be tried.

- In Sweden, we have no ban on assisting suicide. It is found in other countries, for example in several of our Nordic neighbors. The crux here is that it is a doctor and a doctor must also follow the Health Care Act, ie to provide care according to scientifically proven experience, he says.
