A teenager died on the night of Monday to Tuesday in Landerneau, in Finistère. It was the owners of a car who discovered the lifeless body on the morning of July 14, trapped between two vehicles. According to Ouest-France , death would be accidental. The 14-year-old boy reportedly released the handbrake from the vehicle he was apparently trying to steal. While he was partially outside the car, he was allegedly blocked by the door, brutally closed by an obstacle encountered during the descent.

His lifeless body was not found until the next morning, trapped between two vehicles. According to the prosecution, interviewed by Ouest-France , the young man had been housed in Landerneau for a few days as part of social assistance for children. A few days earlier, he had been caught in the act of burglary at the Mescoat college, still in Landerneau. With an accomplice, he was filmed live entering the establishment in the middle of the night.
