At 20.57 a loud bang was heard on Eriksfältsgatan in Malmö. Several police patrols were sent to the scene.
An area by a fast food restaurant was cordoned off and a special search dog found an empty sleeve on the spot.
No person or building was injured.
A report of a gun crime has been made.
