  The Ministry of Health of Mongolia issued a statement on its website that day. A 16-year-old boy in Erdeni County, Gobi Altai Province had symptoms such as high fever and cough since the 15th. The local hospital initially diagnosed it as suspected of being infected with plague, and immediately carried out Isolation treatment.

  The statement said that the investigation found that the teenager had consumed marmot meat on the 14th. At present, the teenager is seriously ill, and the Gobi Altai Province has sent an epidemic prevention working group to Erdeni County.

  Earlier, cases of plague were reported in Kobudo, Bayan Uriege, Gobi and Altai provinces of Mongolia, and one of the 15-year-olds infected with plague died.
