"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime ... the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person by negligence," the report said.
According to the investigation, after the liposuction procedure, the woman’s condition worsened and, “despite the resuscitation assistance provided, she died”.
As part of the investigation, forensic medical examinations have been scheduled, and management and staff of the private clinic will be questioned.
It was previously reported that a woman born in 1985 died in the operating department of a private clinic in northern Moscow after a liposuction procedure.
