- The idea is that we should be able to open up Sweden for real. And since golf is among the most Swedish in sports, if you see who practices it, it feels fantastic to come here with a bunch of young people who have never played golf or even been out in nature in this way. Only it opens up and breaks barriers, says integration coordinator Charbel Gabro.

"Before, I thought it was a ridiculous sport"

Behind the project are the City Mission and the Conversation Ring for young boys from vulnerable areas in Norrköping and Linköping. There are ten guys from each city. During the summer, they have tried different activities and just this day it is time for golf, something that the boys never tried.

- I have got a completely different opinion about golf after this day and how I look at the sport. Before, I thought it was a ridiculous sport, it was not something you could do. But after this day, I think differently, says Yousef Fakhri.

Other activities

In addition to golf, the boys have been able to try paddle, have lectures and on Fridays they hand out food to people who need help.

- It has probably affected me the most because then I realize how good I actually am, says Yousef Fakhri.
