French Prime Minister, Jean-Castex, announced in the Senate yesterday that France will impose the muzzle, as of next week, in all closed places that receive an audience, especially commercial stores.

"We had intended to impose that as of August 1," Castex said in his policy statement to council members. "I realized that this date is late, so the decree will go into effect next week."

He stressed that "placing the masks, while respecting the rules for spacing, constitutes an effective measure of prevention and protection."
