Currently, 12 countries are listed: Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay.

China is the 13th state with which borders can potentially be opened, however, the reciprocity requirement applies to it - Beijing must simultaneously open the borders to the EU, which it is not ready to do yet.

Earlier, the head of the EU Delegation in Moscow, Marcus Ederer, said that it was too early to talk about Russia being included in the list of countries for opening borders with the bloc.
