The Swedish Boating Union, the Swedish Cruiser Club and the Swedish Sailing Association gather 300,000 members, and now want to see a mandatory driving license for all water vehicles that can be driven faster than 35 knots.
They believe that no distinction should be made between jet skis and boats in this matter.
- Jet skis are boats like everyone else, and should be treated that way. We do not want to see any special legislation, says Peter Karlsson, Swedish Boating Union.
