Staff in Karlskrona municipality have reused the same visor as protection against covid-19 - despite the fact that it was a disposable visor. This after incorrect information from the supplier who stated that the visor could be used several times.
The municipality notified the supplier to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, which now prohibits the municipality from using the visor, in accordance with the Work Environment Act.
If the municipality continues to use the imposed visors, the Swedish Work Environment Authority can sentence the municipality to a fine of SEK 100,000 each time the relevant face shields are used.
