The region's infection control currently does not see any tendencies towards an increased spread of covid-19 in areas where many tourists are. Instead, they see a flattening of the number of new patients and that the number of people who need to be cared for in the intensive care unit is at a stable low level.
But whether the increased congestion in society, about which the county administrative board has received several reports, contributes to a greater spread of infection - the region will only see in a few weeks.
- Should we get it now during the summer, there will be an increased burden on healthcare, especially now that we want our staff who have worked hard during the spring to have their holiday this summer, says Anders Lindblom.
