The Ministry of Defense is preparing to intervene for the first time in the face of new outbreaks of coronavirus. After having ended the Balmis operation, the Spanish Army is already studying on the ground the possibility of starting up a device to install a camp in Albalate ( Huesca ) for asymptomatic seasonal workers.

As reported by the department of Margarita Robles, it is about deploying the installation of stores and an ablution container to house a group of temporary workers who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are asymptomatic.

The objective is to contain a possible regrowth. The measure has been adopted after the local and regional authorities have requested help from the Government Delegation, which has transmitted it to the Ministry of Defense, according to sources from this department.

This Wednesday had confirmed almost thirty coronavirus positives in the tests carried out and it is expected that there could be more infections among the inhabitants of Albalate de Cinca . That is why we want to shorten the transmission chain as soon as possible.

The Albalatino mayor has stated that the town had conditioned the changing rooms of the soccer field to accommodate a maximum of 14 people, but right now that number has doubled and alternatives must be sought immediately.

This is the first action by the Armed Forces since the so-called Balmis operation deployed throughout the national territory to deal with the coronavirus ended . According to Defense, the action has been required by the authorities of the area and a more important deployment is not contemplated at the moment.

As for Catalonia, no collaboration from the Armed Forces has been required to contain the outbreaks by the regional or local authorities in the area.
