He dared to open his "Paradisio". During the night of Sunday to Monday, the manager of this Morbihan nightclub was arrested after opening his establishment at night. He will be summoned to the criminal court in February and has received a six-month administrative closure for opening his establishment three consecutive nights last weekend despite the ban, we learned on Monday from judicial and prefectural sources .

While the lifting of the state of health emergency was official at midnight on the night of Friday to Saturday, Éric Moro opened just after midnight "Le Paradisio", located in Quéven, near Lorient, despite the ban still in force for night clubs. He did so with the desire to "make things happen" in the face of the continued closure of this type of establishment, while knowing that "I was going to clash," he explained.

"Death for dead, so much to leave in glory"

An administrative closure order for a period of six months was notified to him on Sunday. But the manager opened again in the night from Sunday to Monday and the gendarmerie intervened and placed him in police custody on Monday, around 3 a.m. while the dancers were still numerous.

Charged for "opening a drinking establishment despite an administrative closure decision", Éric Moro is summoned to the criminal court next February. According to the prosecution, the manager faces two months in prison, a fine of 3,750 euros but also the judicial closure of his establishment and a ban on carrying on his activity. "Death for dead, so much to leave in glory. Between Urssaf, rents and other charges, I owe 150,000 euros, ”explains Éric Moro, who employs six people.

Managers of nightclubs in Normandy demonstrated Sunday in Paris, near the Ministry of Health, to protest against the persistence of the closure of their establishments since the start of the health crisis in mid-March. The Council of State estimated Monday that the prolonged closing of the discotheques was not "disproportionate", rejecting an appeal of these to reopen their doors, if only by offering a bar service.
