- We notice that knowledge about opioid overdoses and how to save someone who has suffered from an overdose is increasing, says Pernilla Isendahl, project manager at Naloxon in Region Skåne, in a press release.

A total of 1,555 patients, enrolled at Region Skåne's syringe exchange clinics, have been trained in how to use the spray.

Cancels breathing pauses

Naloxone is a drug that can save lives in the event of an opioid overdose. While waiting for an ambulance, the drug may temporarily stop breathing in the event of an opioid overdose.

"Unfortunately, overdoses still occur, but now we no longer hear about incorrect methods of eliminating overdoses that patients have previously used," says Pernilla Isendahl.
