China News Service, July 15 (Xinhua) Today, the WeChat public account of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment published the status of the national "12369" environmental protection report in June. In June 2020, the national “12369 Environmental Reporting Network Management Platform” (hereinafter referred to as the “Internet Platform”) received a total of 41,729 environmental protection reports, a decrease of 8.9% from the previous month and a decrease of 7.0% from the same period last year.
Of the reports received in June, 32,111 were accepted, and 9,618 were not accepted because the clues to the report were unclear or did not fall within the responsibility of the ecological environment department.
Phone and WeChat reports decreased sequentially
In June, among the reports received nationwide, the “12369” environmental protection report hotline reported a total of 18,441 cases, accounting for 44.2%, WeChat reported 19,676 cases, accounting for 47.2%, online reports 2,724, accounting for 6.5%, other channels 888 Pieces, accounting for about 2.1%. Among them, telephone reports fell by 3.5% month-on-month, and WeChat reports fell by 16.8% month-on-month.

Air pollution is the most prominent
In terms of pollution type, air pollution reported the most in June, accounting for 57.7% of the total, followed by noise pollution, accounting for 53.9%, and water pollution, solid waste pollution, ecological damage, and radiation pollution accounted for 15.9% and 9.5, respectively. %, 2.8% and 0.9%.

Among the air pollution reports, the most reported were malodorous odors, accounting for 42.1% of the reports related to gas, followed by the reports reflecting smoke and dust pollution, accounting for 24.6%. Among the noise pollution reports, the most reports reflect industrial noise pollution, accounting for 56.2% of the noise reports, followed by the reports reflecting construction noise pollution, accounting for 31.7%. Among the water pollution reports, domestic water pollution reports accounted for the most, accounting for 38.8% of wading reports, followed by industrial wastewater pollution reports, accounting for 27.2%.
Construction industry reports are most concentrated
From the perspective of industry types, the public reported that the most concentrated industry in June was construction, accounting for 40.4%, followed by accommodation, catering and entertainment, and livestock and poultry farming, accounting for 20.5% and 7.1%, respectively. Among them, the construction industry reported a decrease of 5.7 percentage points from the previous quarter, and the lodging, catering and entertainment industry and the livestock and poultry breeding industry reported a rise of 1.8 percentage points and 0.2 percentage points respectively.

Chongqing, Liaoning, Guangdong, and Jiangsu rank first
Judging from the number of reports from different channels in various regions, Chongqing, Liaoning, Guangdong, Jiangsu and other places have the highest total reports. Chongqing, Liaoning, Shanghai and other places have a relatively high percentage of telephone reports, while Guangdong, Shaanxi, and Zhejiang have a relatively high percentage of reports.

Judging from the percentage of pollution types reported by provinces, Shanghai and Xinjiang account for a relatively high percentage of air pollution reports in the local area, accounting for about 11 percentage points above the national average. Shanghai mainly reflects industrial waste gas pollution problems, and Xinjiang mainly reflects odor and odor problems. The noise pollution problem in Chongqing and Beijing is relatively prominent in the local area, accounting for more than 16 percentage points above the national average. Chongqing mainly reflects the noise pollution of construction and construction, and Beijing mainly reflects the problem of industrial noise pollution. Qinghai water pollution reports accounted for more than the national average of about 17 percentage points, mainly reflecting industrial wastewater pollution.
Report processing status in April 2020
The 32,976 reports received in April 2020 were all processed by the local ecological environment department. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment randomly conducted a random check on the handling of 2,671 reports, and the pass rate of random checks was about 87.2%. There were grammatical or logical errors in the text, the response content was not related to the reported problem, the report was not investigated item by item, and environmental violations were handled. Reports that are not in place, have not been reported to the whistleblower, and the opinions have been perfunctory have been ordered to be revised or re-processed.
