Several political leaders deplored Wednesday the "recklessness" of Emmanuel Macron who was arrested by "yellow vests" Tuesday evening about police violence, while he was walking in the Tuileries garden with his wife.

"It poses a real security problem," said Republican president Christian Jacob on RTL. "How can the President of the Republic take such risks? Again a security problem around him!", Added the deputy LR Eric Ciotti.

The leader of the Insoumis Jean-Luc Mélenchon also judged on BFMTV that Emmanuel Macron was "not very careful" because "the President of the Republic who wanders around the Tuileries where there are so many people must of course 'expect to meet people who don't like it ".

A video posted Tuesday evening on the Facebook page "Gilets Jaunes Infos" shows several people who, when they saw the head of state walking around the Tuileries with his wife Brigitte, began to sing "We're here" - the air rally of "yellow vests" -, chant "Macron resignation" and "you're going to fire".

The one who films, and who the bodyguards are trying to keep away, exclaims with amazement "it's incredible, we fall on the black beast".

The small group of "yellow vests" begins to follow the presidential couple, covering by his hoots the calls for calm of the president who then decides to come and talk to them.

"Why you gave the Brav, it's violent," shouts the man who films, adding "you are my employee", to which Emmanuel Macron responds "it is not the President of the Republic who does that "and" there are some in your home who are violent ".

"It is a public holiday, I am walking with my wife and you call me," he regrets.

The Brav (brigades for the suppression of violent action), motorcycle units, were returned to service to intervene during the demonstrations of "yellow vests".

"Be cool," replied the president, smiling, which relaxed the atmosphere. "We breathed gas to death an hour ago," replies the man who films, probably referring to the Paris demonstration for the hospital marked by clashes with the police.

"You are not models of respect either," replied Emmanuel Macron, "there are some in your area who are violent", "people, they are fed up with Saturdays" of demonstrations, he continues.

"But you know there are problems", retorts the "yellow vest", citing "purchasing power, tax justice" but also the Balkany affair and the pension reform.

"Why the police got there, because you didn't just demonstrate, it broke down massively," argues the president, under the protests of the small group who launched him "you're not going to protests!" .

"The feeling of injustice, I hear," argues the head of state.

Obviously delighted to have been able to speak to the Head of State, the "yellow vest" thanks him and exclaims "I can't even curse him". "So much the better!" Replied the head of state.

"He is not going to play the François Hollande, deplored Christian Jacob. We are not a normal man when we are President of the Republic, we know very well that one day of demonstrations, going for a walk in the Tuileries garden , we take the risk of confrontation. "

According to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, even if "it's not very bad", the incident is indicative of "the state of deterioration of relations in this country of the president with the people".

"He likes to convince," said Anne-Christine Lang, LREM MP for Paris on LCI.
