In recent years, Hammarby, together with the city of Stockholm and the Swedish Public Employment Service, among others, has carried out career days where they have looked for, among other things, summer jobs for young people.

- The digital employment service will therefore be a natural next step, as we have created a good infrastructure around our labor market initiatives, says Abel Abraham, who is the one at Hammarby who is responsible for the project.

High goals

The idea is to connect jobseekers with, in the first step, the hundreds of partner companies that are in the club's network. With the help of a website that should be ready after the summer, jobseekers and employers should be able to find each other. In the long run, Hammarby hopes to be able to develop it all into a platform where companies can offer different types of jobs on, for example, weekends and holidays.

The goal is for Samhällsmatchen to contribute to 100 jobs during this year. In five years, it is hoped to reach up to 500 jobs.
