The agency said that the first group of volunteers who took part in the vaccine self-tests was discharged from the Burdenko hospital.

Before discharge, 18 volunteers underwent a control examination and passed a blood test to study the development of an immune response.

“The available laboratory and instrumental studies allow us to speak with confidence about the safety and good tolerance of the vaccine,” the Defense Ministry quoted TASS as saying.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the work on creating a vaccine is being carried out in accordance with the schedule.

As noted in the Ministry of Health, 17 coronavirus vaccines have shown themselves to be “promising candidates.”
