  The 25,500 ordinary masks, 24,000 surgical masks, and 480 protective clothing provided by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Provincial Federation of Overseas Chinese arrived in Vancouver with the slogan “Wind and rain together to overcome difficulties”. Prior to this, a batch of anti-epidemic materials donated by the Taizhou Municipal Government and the Taizhou Overseas Chinese Federation have also arrived here.

Wang Dianqi, president of the China (Friendly) Peaceful Reunification Promotion Association of Canada, said that when the epidemic situation in Canada became more severe, the materials donated by Zhejiang Province were undoubtedly sent in the snow, which greatly eased the epidemic prevention.   The “Special Care Group” established by the Overseas Chinese in Vancouver donated masks, protective clothing and other materials to many nursing homes, neighboring centers, comprehensive care centers, hospitals and other institutions in different ethnic communities in the local community from the end of June to the middle of July.

  "We can't find these protective clothing in the market. Thank you for your dedication and help from China!" The head of the Jewish community Louis Blair Nursing Home and Hospital told the "Special Care Group".

  The donation activity was greatly assisted by local politicians and attracted the active participation of many overseas Chinese leaders and caring people.

  This batch of anti-epidemic materials was also promptly delivered to the Chinese students group of the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser Chinese students group. At the same time, the "Special Care Group" also actively connected with other Zhejiang overseas Chinese groups and chambers of commerce in Canada, through the "point-to-point" direct mail method to send anti-epidemic materials from their hometown to the overseas Chinese in Zhejiang.

  The "Special Care Group" once again presented epidemic prevention materials to Che Yinglin, an expert living in Vancouver's cross-strait relations, and many Taiwan compatriots, and introduced them to the deeds of their motherland (country) to fight the epidemic.

  The "Special Care Group" was initiated and established by Wang Dianqi in early February this year. So far, it has donated nearly 100,000 masks, more than 500 pieces of protective clothing, and a large number of anti-epidemic materials such as goggles and defense gloves, including Canada and the United States. Local Chinese students sent all kinds of anti-epidemic supplies. After the establishment of the group, Wu Yunjuan, Zhang Zhihua, Liu Chaofang, Cao Weihong, Bai Rufang, Ye Xiaoling, Wang Wei, Wang Xuehong, Jin Shihe, Hu Peifeng, Wu Jiaming, Jiang Lili, Yuan Xuehua, Yuan Wenjing, Chen Xin'er, Li Meng, He Pengling, Shen Minghe, Pang Tianming and other caring people from overseas Chinese community strongly supported and participated.
