Ylva Johansson: "Lift internal border barriers - now"

EU Commissioner Ylva Johansson, with responsibility for, among other things, border issues in the EU, comments on border barriers in SVT's Aktuellt.

- Free movement is what makes us feel like a family. Our recommendation is to lift all internal border barriers now, she says.

When asked whether Swedes should accept this, given that Sweden has had a greater spread of infection than, for example, its neighboring countries, Ylva Johansson answers no.

- The situation has improved in Sweden and virtually all member countries. The trend is strongly in the right direction. We have also adapted in all countries to living and preventing the infection from spreading, says Ylva Johansson.
