“The Embassy of Ukraine in Serbia once again officially declares that Ukraine does not interfere in any way with the internal political situation in the Republic of Serbia,” the statement said.
It is noted that the corresponding statement of the embassy is connected with the words of the mayor of the municipality of Vozdovac, Aleksandr Savich, who in a negative light recalled the “Ukrainian scenario”, speaking about the current protests in Serbia.
“We have the honor to remind Aleksandar Savich that what he contemptuously calls the“ Ukrainian scenario ”represents the struggle of the Ukrainian people for their rights against a corrupt and totalitarian government,” the diplomatic mission added.
It was previously reported that several people were detained by police outside the parliament building in Belgrade after the completion of the protest rally on the night of July 12.
On July 9, Serbian Minister of Defense Alexander Vulin called the riots an attempt to start a civil war.
