“During the flight, the crews of the strategic missile carriers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS completed air refueling at an altitude of more than 6,000 meters and speeds of about 600 kilometers per hour, air patrols in the assigned area, and also launched missiles at targets on the firing range," - stated in the defense department.
The exercises, in which about 10 aircraft and more than 30 pieces of support equipment were involved, were held according to the combat training plan.
Earlier, the FAN reported that exercises were held in the Moscow region with the participation of personnel of the anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Western Military District.
