Media coverage of the blockade countries, while covering the signing of a peace agreement between Washington and the Taliban in Doha, revealed a new doctrine in the media that deletes one of the most important traditional elements of the news because it does not appeal to the tastes of political and security authorities overseeing editorial policies in channels and sites that consider themselves at the top of professionalism.

Defamation of media traditions, professional norms, killing the truth, and even "falsifying" facts, has, over the past three years, been a behavior practiced by some of the major media outlets in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain. However, today it has guided a new uncharacteristic pattern - at least in recent years - in dealing with news coming from Doha, and it is related to separating time and space in the news, or mentioning and covering the news without indicating where it happened.

The place was deleted
on Saturday, February 29, and the place is Doha, the capital of Qatar. The content of the news is the signing of a peace agreement between the United States and the Taliban under the auspices of Doha, after nearly two decades of armed conflict between them.

Several media sites published the news amputated, where I talked about the agreement and some of its contents, without any reference to the location of the event, nor any mention of Doha, which has sponsored the agreement for nearly ten years of negotiations, which ended with the signing of an agreement that will drive away the specter of war and fighting for the Afghan people.

The "Sky News" news site based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the Emirates, dealt with the agreement signed between Washington and the Taliban and the previous truce agreed upon a week ago, and published several news stories about the agreement and the truce that preceded it.

But what is certain is that the site's readers do not yet know whether the agreement was signed in Mars, and why not in Abu Dhabi, which has long sought to embrace the Washington and Taliban negotiations without winning it.

Like Sky News, the Egyptian website "Al-Youm Al-Sabe'a" published a long report on the Doha agreement, without any reference to it from near or far.

The "Seventh Day" report came in about 800 words, containing four images, two of which were for US President Donald Trump, one for Taliban fighters, and a fourth for a spokesman for the movement.

In the footsteps of "Sky News" and "The Seventh Day", the Saudi newspaper "Okaz" published a report on the signing of the agreement, which was largely exported to some American soldiers in the Afghan province of Kandahar, without any reference to the sponsor of the agreement, the near neighbor.

Okaz's position was consistent with that of the Saudi government, which stated that it welcomed the agreement without mentioning which capital was signed.

Asharq Al-Awsat news agency reported that it was signed in Doha, but it chose the ratio of the news to CNN, perhaps in consideration of the principles of the profession in the ratio of the news to its people.

In addition, other siege media outlets published several details of the agreement and the reduction of violence during the seven-day armistice, ignoring the place where world cameras, editors' and media pens had been heading for some time, documenting the most important moment that could stop the waterfall of blood and fire in the country of Afghan snow and flames.

The new media doctrine of the blockading countries has caused widespread ridicule among bloggers and bloggers, and a number of media professionals who have mocked the "new technologies" of informing the blockade.

Most of the media in the blockading countries are accustomed to ignoring the positive news of Qatar, but this time the news was greater than concealment and forgery, and the ceiling of professionalism was lower and weaker than the reader, the information, and the sanctity of the news, as the singers say.

A formal
disregard for the media's ignorance of the place, accompanied by an official disregard from the blockading countries, except for Riyadh, which took the initiative in welcoming the agreement without mentioning the party that hosted, patronized, and humiliated many of its obstacles, which is Doha.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a strange statement welcoming an agreement that does not mention when and where it was signed, which indicates that the media that carried the news and ignored its place was not issued by a private opinion, but rather from an official and systematic policy.

As for Manama, it opted to ignore the agreement, following the example of Abu Dhabi, which did not comment in any way of welcoming or denouncing the agreement, after it failed to transfer the dialogue between the two sides from Doha to the UAE capital.

The signing of the agreement between the Taliban and Washington in Doha was accompanied by international media attention and wide coverage in which the major international media participated. He was also accompanied by a well-known diplomatic presence, which included representatives of about 30 countries and organizations interested in peace in the world.

As for the siege quadrant, the retreat influenced all the shout out of freedom, peace, or success for Qatar automatically as a danger to them, seeking as much as their means allowed them to block the sun of the continuous successes of Doha with a sieve.
