Aerial targets were identified, they turned out to be reconnaissance aircraft. It is noted that the P-3C "Orion" of the Norwegian Air Force was discovered over the Barents Sea. Over the Black Sea, the US Navy R-8A "Poseidon" aircraft, the US Air Force RC-135 and the MQ-9A Riper UAV were identified.

Russian fighters escorted the aircraft at a safe distance and returned to the airfields after they were removed from the state border of Russia.
