The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, warned of the dangerous consequences of beating the drums of war around Sirte, Libya, and called for ignoring regional incitement and its goals, and reiterated the UAE's adherence to the cease-fire, clear international references and the resort to a political solution.
Gargash said in a tweet on his account on "Twitter": "The drums of war raging around Sirte in sister Libya threaten massive development and serious humanitarian and political consequences."
He added, "We call from the Emirates to stop the immediate cease-fire and prevail over wisdom, to enter into dialogue between the Libyan parties and within clear international references, and to ignore regional incitement and its goals."
