Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday the widespread use of pedestrian cameras "before the end of the five-year term" for the police, in particular to combat facies controls.

"We have been talking about this for too long", commented during an interview on TF1 and France 2 the President of the Republic about the accusations of facies checks by the police, estimating that they could be a source of discrimination fueling "democratic distrust".
