A poll conducted by the «Emirates Today» on social media platforms showed that 60% of the 238 participants, affirmed that the high prices of driving training are the most important obstacle they face during the journey to obtain the service, in addition to observations related to the efficiency of the coach.

On the other hand, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority affirmed its keenness to provide the service to the trainees according to the best training standards, indicating its willingness to deal with the trainees ’observations to be specified in a specific institute.

The management of a training institute commented to «Emirates Today» that the high prices are linked to the quality of the services provided, and is determined according to the terms of competition.

The «Emirates Today» polled a number of respondents in the survey about the difficulties they face while obtaining the driving education service.

And 29% of the respondents indicated that they currently face difficulty in driving training for reasons related to high prices, the efficiency of trainers and other reasons.

Najm Ali, one of the survey's respondents, said he was very concerned while in the institute because of the failure results in the tests.

He considered that "the systems of driving institutes do not take into account the interest of the trainee," repeating the complaint about the high costs and their inconsistency with the level of training.

"The institute where he learns does not care about the efficiency of training, despite the high price of practical classes," Yahya Abunboot said. Yasser Ahmed confirmed that there is a lack of educational materials and a deficiency in the system of tests via electronic channels at the institute where he is trained. As for the high costs of driving training, the institute considered that trainees can choose the appropriate price packages for their financial capabilities.

He explained that there is a package for low-income people, different from the package designed for the financially well-off, which includes training using luxury cars, and flexibility in determining training days and times.

The institute pointed out that the prices of training courses in driving institutes in Dubai are subject to supply and demand, as are all other profitable business sectors, including the private educational institutions sector.
